ARTIST BIO

All About Danielle Zamagni

Danielle started her artistic journey in the early 2010s, the desire to create art that she soon attained became an unyielding obligation to herself to explore the inner mechanism of her creative consciousness. From small sketches to large-scale projects, her art is a highly personal reflection of ideals that she values, a reflection of the world we live in, and all of her hopes & fears combined.

Danielle is a Texas-based self-represented contemporary artist.

The themes that circulate in her work surround the human condition, the psyche, and simultaneously serve as inspiration themselves: emotions, death, humor, compassion, empathy, feminine experience, symbolism, love, anatomy, mental health concepts, heroines, heroes, social science, ethics, and metaphor. She uses all of these concepts by way of figurative, portrait painting, and drawing.

Danielle's work often juxtaposes light and airy feel with a serious and sometimes even gory concept. Danielle draws inspiration from renaissance painters, Da Vinci's grotesque caricatures, Saville's humanistic paintings, Cy Twombly's abstraction, and Freud's psychological portraiture. As a woman, Danielle believes in appreciating the subtlety and tact it takes to live in, appreciate, and comment on this world at all ends of the spectrum.

Danielle sees herself as a young artist. She has recently begun to combine her past decade of experimentation to solidify her unique and personal style.
